Keep Your Hotel Safe With A Panic Alarm Button System

Should Your Hotel Utilize a Panic Alarm Button System?

If the safety of your staff and guests are a priority, you should consider using a panic alarm button system to keep them safe. It's an inexpensive way to prevent assaults and other crimes. Just advertising that you have such a system with posted signs will sometimes be enough to deter criminals from engaging in illegal activities at your hotel.

Panic alarm buttons work by sounding a loud alarm in cases of emergencies. This alarm will typically deter a criminal from continuing their illegal activity. Some systems will also automatically contact either security or staff members on the premises or emergency services (e.g., the police).

What Options Do You Have?

You can place a panic alarm button in many different locations in your hotel, and your staff members can even carry one on their person. You will get to decide the locations of the panic buttons and how they function. If you only want them to trigger a loud alarm, you can do that, but you can also have the button automatically contact the authorities or hotel staff.

Assaults on Staff

Housekeepers often face dangerous situations while on the job; some sexual harassment and assault cases occur when they go to the rooms to clean them. If they have a panic button alarm on them, or there's one on the wall in the room, they can sound the alarm and hopefully stop the problem before the situation gets even more dangerous.

Hotel guests also occasionally attack staff members violently. It could be because they're angry about the service they're getting, they're intoxicated, etc. If those staff members can trigger a panic button alarm, it increases their chances of getting out of the situation before being seriously injured.

Guest Emergencies

Having a panic alarm button in the guests' rooms is also helpful for their safety. If your guests have a medical emergency, are being robbed or physically attacked, etc., it's a fast way to get someone's attention for help. It's not always possible for them to pick up a phone and call the reception or emergency services during one of these events.

Front Desk Emergencies

You can also have a panic alarm button located at the reception desk. It can act as a deterrent to robbers or anyone else acting hostile towards your receptionist. It has the same effect as the panic buttons used at banks.

About Me

A Secure Business Is a Booming Business Throughout life, I dreamed of opening my own restaurant because I love to cook and I love food. I made sure I took a few business classes before I opened my first restaurant, so I would be prepared to make my business prosperous. Business started booming, since I chose a great location for my restaurant, but soon, my restaurant was burglarized after hours and my restaurant got a bad reputation for being unsafe. I soon invested in a great security system, unbreakable glass windows, and more secure doors. My local customers were very excited to begin returning to my restaurant again to eat, and my investment then paid for itself many times over. I am eager to share what I learned about security devices with anyone who needs the advice on my new blog!
